#1 How should I prepare?
Be well rested, eat two to three hours before your appointment, wear comfortable clothing, and bring music if you want. Being tired or having low blood sugar can increase the discomfort level.

Do not drink caffeine or alcohol. If you want to take a pain killer do not take any product containing aspirin because it thins the blood.

#2 Why can’t I drink alcohol or take drugs before I get tattooed?
Besides becoming dehydrated, alcohol will thin your blood making you bleed more than normal. It can also make you flinch or twitch. This means that your tattoo will end up looking faded and unattractive.

Besides intensify the pain, drugs, including marijuana, can have a negative reaction to the adrenaline rush and can cause respiratory and cardiac failure.

None of the Inked Tattoo Studio artists will work on anyone they suspect is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
